“I am a carer for my wife and we live in our family home of 40+ years.
We considered moving in to residential accommodation recently
because it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain the house;
keeping it clean and tidy, as well as gardening and all the other daily
tasks.
My wife and I were reluctant to move though as it was our family
home that bought with it many happy memories. It was a decision
we did not want to make. Luckily, we sought help from Local Helping
Hands. They carried out various gardening duties on a weekly basis,
which took the pressure off and enabled us to stay in the home where
we wanted to be. Thank you Local Helping Hands."

"I have known Jo for several years now. I am a single mum of two boys with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Last summer, I broke my foot on the first day of the summer holidays, and I was a little stressed to say the least! But, I needn't of worried. Jo was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and I never felt like I couldn't ask for anything. She let me know when she was passing my house and would drop off those little forgotten (but essential) things.
Putting the bins out on crutches was a near impossibility, but Jo would do it for me without me even having to ask.
When the grass in the back garden was getting too long, Jo rolled her sleeves up and couldn't wait to get stuck in.
Thank you. I don't know what I would have done without you."

"I’m so pleased that I’ve met Jo. As a vicar’s wife and mum
of three, I’m always chasing my tail to get things done. Jo
is always offering help and support. I can’t think of anyone who
would be more reliable and trustworthy as this lovely lady."

"Jo is from a professional background. She has a natural desire to pursue a new career path; close to their own hearts. She is honest, reliable, well organised and will provide a high level of service. Above all, treating those you love with respect."
